PEN Club rekindles the spirit of a culinary icon.

For more than half a century, PEN Club was one of Ljubljana's most cherished cultural and culinary meeting places. 

Its necessary complete renovation became an opportunity not simply to restore a legendary restaurant, but to rediscover what had made it unforgettable. 

Original layers of the house were uncovered, carefully preserved and placed in dialogue with contemporary interventions, allowing old memories and new experiences to coexist naturally.

Rather than recreating the past, the project rekindles the spirit that has always defined PEN—a place where interior, culture and hospitality continue to inspire conversation.
