Collignum Furniture
Collignum is a series of furniture items designed as part of a cross-border project of collaboration between Austrian and Slovene carpenters.
We emphasised the idea of collaboration and moved part of the design team to carpenters' workshops in order to find out the potential of each individual craftsman, tradition, knowledge, and passion.
For this reason, all of the items are markedly different, even though they are all completely wooden and made of Alpine types of wood (you’ll have to excuse us for having succumbed to the temptation of textiles).
The project received the awards for the Furniture Product of the Year 2012 and the Most Beautiful Exhibition Space at the Ambient Ljubljana fair.
