Krakovo Embankment

The revitalisation transformed a previously deteriorated site, which was in a symbolic way negatively marked by a now removed shelter from World War II, into a modern city promenade. By unifying the promenade’s concrete and sandy pavements, its perception reached the maximum extension in width.

Plateaus as wooden balconies and deckchairs, resting on recycled concrete pedestals of former benches extend above the river. Despite a significant intervention, the project team was able to maintain a full stroke of the existing old horse chestnut avenue.
